I have been interested in digital art since my family’s Macintosh LC, where I could make 30px by 30px wallpaper designs. Since then, the technology has changed and now it seems like there are endless possibilities in the world of digital art.

Composition is an important element of graphic design. People do not realize that the origins of modern design are found in paintings. The Golden Ratio is used as a way to divide the canvas, and I learned about it while painting. I have found that it’s methodology applies to my design work.

Sketchbooks serve several purposes for me. In addition to being a place where I draw, they are like scrap books. I keep ticket stubs, flyers, magazine articles, and write down song titles in them. Every time I open one up, it is full of sketches and memories of a particular time. I also like to practice new techniques of mediums and styles.
